Freedom From Chains Advocates are coming up with creative ideas and making an impact. Here are a number of ideas you can choose to put into action.
You can “speak for those who cannot speak for themselves” (Proverbs 31:8) by making a child or native missionary sponsorship presentation at your small group, Sunday school class or church. Encourage your church to respond to God’s call to “loose the chains of injustice," and "to set the oppressed free and break every yoke" (Isaiah 58:6) by hosting an Isaiah 58 Meeting. By helping get kids sponsored, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of children and communities all over the world.
Ask your church to partner with Freedom From Chains in their missions giving.
Host a Freedom From Chains awareness event at your home. This is a great way to inform your neighbors, friends and family about what they can do to help change the world one person at a time. You can share how they can bring the light of the Gospel of Christ into the darkest places on earth; bring the message of salvation to those who have never heard it preached before. You can share how they can change the life of an orphan by giving them the opportunity to become part of a loving family of believers, giving them shelter, food, clothing, and more. You may choose to share how they can be instrumental in increasing the standard of living in a village by supporting out anti poverty ministry to help lift people out of chronic poverty. We will supply you with a video and print material to get the message out, both prior to the event and for the event. If you want to go above and beyond, choose a theme such as "Thailand," "India," "Water", "Hunger'" or "Children" that will guide everything from decor to the food you present.
Take advantage of a holiday such as Thanksgiving or Christmas to remind people of the joy of helping others. If you throw a Freedom From Chains holiday party, let us know so we can get you materials to help you get the word out.
